THE SEASONS OF DENALI

This image depicts the relative length of seasons in Denali, as well as some of the most visible features of the seasonal cycle, from aspen phenology to astronomy. Snow and cold temperatures play a significant role for all forms of life in the Park. Most visitors come to the Park in the summer, and don’t get to experience the long winter that is essential to the stability of the high alpine, subalpine, and boreal lowland zones that define Denali.
